Welcome back! We hope you all enjoyed a restful half term. A highlight this week has been another fantastic careers session with Dawn from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. The children found out more about her career and her passion for wildlife and conservation.

In maths, we have been developing our understanding of fractions by revisiting equivalent fractions and using our knowledge of factors to simplify them. To build fluency in all areas of fractions, secure times-table knowledge is essential, so please continue to support your child in developing automatic recall of multiplication facts.

In English, we have begun studying our new text, ‘You Are a Champion’ by Marcus Rashford. We started by exploring the text together and considering how its ideas could help us to build confidence and self-belief as individuals. We look forward to continuing to dive into the text in greater detail next week.

Message for all - please can you check your child’s hair regularly for head lice and follow the appropriate treatment advice if necessary.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
