Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you all had a fun half-term. I can't believe that now the clocks have changed I'm writing this and it’s almost dark!

We had a lovely afternoon on Wednesday when we started our new art unit. We are looking at the work of Kerry Hyndman, an illustrator and mapmaker. The children were enthralled by her work and spent a calm and productive session sketching their own images, with some very pleasing results.

In maths, we have tackled column addition with an exchange. The children have grown in confidence as the week progressed. They can practise further through their homework on Edshed.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the fireworks if you're going tomorrow!
