This week we have looked at the American artist Georgia O'Keefe, focussing in particular on her paintings of flowers. This inspired us to create our own flower artwork using oil pastels. 

We reached chapter 4 of the Iron Man, where the Space-Bat-Angel-Dragon arrives on earth. We looked carefully at the language used by the author to describe the monster, then wrote our own descriptions, thinking carefully about how to make our writing as interesting for the reader as possible.

The children are looking forward to our trip to the museum on Monday. Just to remind you that the children still need to wear their school uniform. Please remember packed lunch and water bottle in a rucksack. I hope we'll have a great day out.
