This week we have been reading the story of ‘The Jolly Postman’ and following all his adventures! Sentence writing has been our focus and we have been thinking-saying-writing-checking our learning. We are beginning to understand that sentences start with a capital letter, have finger spaces and full stops at the end. In maths, we are continuing to recognise, order and count teen numbers, it would be great if you could reinforce this at home.

We have revised the following sounds: nk, ay, ee, igh and used these in blending and segmenting. Please continue to practise reading and writing of tricky words at home.

We are looking forward to seeing mums in class next week on Friday 29th March . There will be drinks in the hall from 8.30am, 9.00-10.00am will be spent in class on a learning task before a special Mother’s Day assembly at 10.00am. Straight after this, we have Little Flames and need three parent helpers with DBS checks, to help us walk to church. Please see a member of the team if you are able to assist. We hope you will be able to join us in church for the 11am service.
