This week in English we have started our new text called ‘Lila and The Secret of The Rain’.  This is a lovely story and the children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about it this week.  We initially wrote predictions based on the front cover alone.  As always, we had some fabulous ideas for what could happen next.  We have also used drama to sequence events and then recorded these on a story map.

In maths we have continued with measure and looked at temperature.  We have taken the temperature both indoors and outdoors throughout the week. We have compared different temperatures, worked out the difference and read temperature on thermometers that go up in different scales.

The highlight of everyone’s week was most definitely our school trip yesterday! We all had a brilliant day.  There were so many different activities to take part in, from bread making to meeting different animals and learning lots of new things. It was lovely to spend the day with year 3 and all adults were very impressed with how beautifully the children behaved.
