We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year R

Friday Blog - Friday 26th November

The highlight of our week has definitely been having our first (and second) reading books! The children were all so excited and desperate to have a go. It was lovely to see their enthusiasm! I will usually change their books twice a week, but reading wallets and keywords must come to school every day.

We have also taken part in Maths Olympics today. The children were in their house teams, working with children from Years 1 & 2. We had great fun - I will post pictures later on Tapestry!

In the week we have been practising for our nativity. The children know their lines now, they just need to practise saying them as loudly as they can! They are brilliant at all the songs. If your child's costume is ready, please send it in. They need to be in by Thursday 2nd December at the latest. Please let me know if you have any problems.

We said goodbye to our lovely student, Miss Doulton, today. Badge Class will all be sad to see her go as she has been brilliant to have!

Just a reminder - some of the children's morning snacks are getting a bit large and the lunchtime staff have mentioned that some children are not eating all their lunch. The morning snack should be in a small pot, preferably fruit or vegetables, not things in packets. The children really only need 1 thing !

Wishing you all a good weekend,

Clare
