Dear Parents,

The children have enjoyed their return to school but are all exhausted today.

We have begun our topic for this half-term, this week being Titanic and the children are loving learning about this and in particular its local links.

We are learning the history of Titanic and even linking our English unit to this.

English

We have been focusing on our sentence writing and in particular expanded noun phrases and adding an adverb to a sentence.

Maths

We have been learning about division this week and its links to multiplication. We have focused on the dividing by 2 and 10.

Science

We are learning about animals and their offspring. The children matched the babies to the adults this week.
