Friday Blog - Friday 6th May
Good evening everyone,
Despite being a short week, we have certainly managed to pack in a lot and I think we were all feeling exhausted by this afternoon.
On Tuesday we welcomed Ostap into our class. He has settled in brilliantly and the children have done a fantastic job helping him find his way in school and have fun! It has been lovely to see how, despite not sharing the same language, the children have chatted with Ostap and soon made friends.
Wednesday was the highlight of our week. The children always love cooking and they had great fun making the scones in the morning. Thank you so much to all of you who were able to make it for afternoon tea. I hope you agree it was a lovely afternoon, (actually a lot calmer than I imagined) and a fantastic experience for the children.
It was Forest School on Thursday - another favourite for the children. Although the temperature is rising and the children don't need to be quite so wrapped up, they still need waterproof trousers. One of the most popular activities is the mud kitchen and the children inevitably end up wet and muddy. Please make sure your child has their waterproofs in school on Thursdays.
As the weather is improving the children will also need a sun hat in school - our playground is a sun trap and it can be very bright outside.
Have a lovely weekend,
The Year R Team
