We have had a lovely week in Badger class. 

We set off on our walk on Tuesday around the village to spot different types of vehicles. 

In maths this week, we have been exploring measure. We have used measuring worms to measure lengths, scales to explore mass and spent some time in the water area to compare capacity. 

On Tuesday afternoon, we planted some cress seeds. In our Jigsaw PSHE sessions, we have been talking about responsibility so we grew some cress to be responsible for. The children were very excited to take these home but please do send in some updates via Tapestry if you wish! 

In Drawing Club this week, instead of reading a story, we looked at an "Adventure of the Past" unit. We watched a clip of 'Wacky Races' to link in with our topic of vehicles. We then designed our own vehicle to enter into a Wacky Race. 

This afternoon, we enjoyed doing some junk modelling to design a vehicle. We had some fantastic ideas, including rockets, jet planes and ice cream vans!
