We have had another lovely week learning about Chinese New Year. 

On Monday, we enjoyed tasting a variety of traditional foods. We tried spring rolls, fortune cookies and prawn crackers. We have also enjoyed making paper lanterns, collages of lanterns and playing in our decorated role play area. 

We have done some excellent writing this week about Chinese New Year. It shows how much the children have learnt and absorbed. 

In music, we have continued to learn the 'Dragon Dance' with Mr Thomas. This week the children added some lyrics as they played their instruments to a steady beat. 

In maths, we have been learning about doubling and odd and even numbers. 

In Jigsaw, we were talking about what we wanted to be when we grow up. We had lots of different ideas including a fire fighter, a waitress, a vet and a 'cinema worker'!
