We have had a lovely week in Badger Class.
We have been reading ‘Mr Wolfs Pancakes’ which has led to lots of conversation and play around Pancake Day. The children have enjoyed sharing their experiences of Pancake Day at home and what toppings they all had! They have also been making playdough pancakes, writing about pancakes and learning about the meaning of Shrove Tuesday.
Yesterday was World Book Day and Badger class all had a wonderful day. They spent the morning going to different classes and taking part in a variety of activities, including drawing characters, making book marks and making puppets. They loved being at school in their pyjamas too!
In Maths, we have been exploring the composition of the numbers 9 and 10. We have been doing this in a variety of different ways; subitising, counting, representing and finding one more and one less.
In Music with Mr Thomas, Badger class have been learning about pitch and how to play a high and low note on a glockenspiel or a xylophone. I really enjoy watching Badger class in their music lessons and how well they absorb and remember all the learning.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Prichard
