We have had a lovely week in Badger Class. 

We have been reading the story 'Handa's Surprise'. Badgers have spent the writing sessions ordering and retelling the story using the key vocabulary they have learnt. They then published their stories into their own book and they look fantastic. This led to lots of children choosing to make books in the afternoons. Good job Badgers. 

In Maths, we have been focusing on 'One more and one less'. We have used a variety of different mathematical resources to solve problems and Badgers are starting to record this within a number sentence. 

We have been starting to think about Easter and started to learn some Easter songs ready for the service at the church. Some of the children have already started to make bunnies and Easter eggs!

On Monday, we took part in the whole school litter pick. We set off around the village with Year 3 children and our litter pickers and bin bags and did our bit for the environment. 

This week, we have welcomed Miss Woodnutt into Badger class, a student teacher from the University of Winchester. She will be with us until the end of May. 

Next Friday is the Little Flames service. It would be lovely if you could join us.
