We have had a lovely week in Badger Class.
We have been watching our caterpillars grow and we are hoping they will make their cocoon in the next week!
In writing, we have continued to retell the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Badger Class have really enjoyed this and I have been very impressed with their enthusiasm and independence.
Badger Class have enjoyed playing in our new 'Minibeast Lab' roleplay area. They have been identifying bugs and using magnifying glasses to desctibe their features.
In maths, we have been learning how to make doubles. We have used butterflies to double their spots and record this with number sentences.
In music with Mr Thomas, the children have enjoyed recreating sounds for different places on 'Treasure Island'. They have selected musical instruments that best suit the sound they need to make and have created a wonderful piece of music as a class.
There will be no Collins Ebook set this week.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Prichard
