Year R

We have had a lovely, sunny week! A reminder that all children need a water bottle and a hat in school, thank you.
We have been watching our caterpillars make their cocoons and the children are hoping that they will wait to hatch when we return to school on Monday!
As we have been observing the caterpillars and their transformation, the children have done some fantastic writing about the life cycle of a butterfly. They have labelled pictures and written fantastic sentences, well done everyone.
In maths, our focus has been repeating patterns. The children have made lots of patterns using natural objects, counters and and blocks. They have challenged themselves to make complexed patterns and to continue a friends pattern.
Badger Class all thoroughly enjoyed the annual whole school scooter and bike competition today. I was so impressed with all of their designs and how well they rode their bikes/scooters around the playground in front of the whole school.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Prichard
