What a wonderful week we've had!
It’s hard to believe we are only at the end of our second week in Badgers Class. The children have settled in so well already. It has been fantastic to see the friendships beginning to form and the amazing progress the children are already making. We are so proud of them.
We’ve had a week full of exciting activities. On Monday, Miss Welton took the children to Forest School where they had a fantastic time exploring and learning in nature. Back in the classroom, the children have enjoyed playing both indoors and outside. The role-play area and construction zone have been very popular and Hot Wheels has definitely been a hit this week!
We’ve also been busy with lots of singing, sharing stories and listening to poems. It’s been lovely to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic.
Reading books and diaries have now been sent home. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask. When sharing books at home, it’s great to talk with your child about the pictures and what they can see. Encourage them to spot any sounds or letters they might recognise as this is a great way to build their early reading skills. We will be starting phonics next week.
A couple of reminders:
Forest School will continue next week, so please make sure your child has their Forest School clothing in school if you haven’t already sent it in.
We will also be having our first PE session next week, which I know the children are really looking forward to!
A huge well done to all the children. They have been absolute superstars.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend
