We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year R

Friday 26th September 2025

What another fantastic week we have had in Badgers Class! The children have been so busy learning, exploring and having fun together.

We enjoyed spending time with the story Tiddler in Drawing Club, where imaginations were running wild, and the children shared some brilliant ideas through their drawings. In maths, the children have been practising their sorting skills, looking carefully at objects and explaining their choices so confidently to their friends.

Forest School with Miss Welton was, as always, a highlight of the week. The children had such a great time exploring the outdoors, working together and showing their independence. Back in the classroom, we have been thinking about human growth and learning how we all change as we get older. The children asked thoughtful questions and were fascinated by what they discovered.

We also made a start on our autumn leaves paintings. The children loved experimenting with colours for their leaves, and we are really looking forward to seeing these pieces develop. PE was another success, with the children throwing themselves into the activities with so much energy and enthusiasm. It was lovely to see how much they enjoyed working together and working on their listening skills!

Thank you for your continued support with all that we do in Badgers. A couple of reminders for this week:

We are currently looking for parent volunteers to support reading in school, so please let us know if you are able to offer some of your time — it would be hugely appreciated!

Please can library books be sent to school so that the children can swap them for new ones during their library session. Our library slot is on Thursday.

Finally, if you have not yet done so, please could you send in a baby photo of your child for our work on human growth.

We are so proud of all the children and everything they have achieved this week. It has been such a joy to see their enthusiasm for learning and their smiles throughout the week. Have a lovely weekend!
