We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year R

Friday 3rd October

We’ve had a fantastic week in Badgers Class! The children have been so enthusiastic and engaged, and it’s been lovely to see them growing in confidence and creativity.

This week in Drawing Club, we explored the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood. The children especially enjoyed drawing the Big Bad Wolf and imagining all the different ways he might escape. They worked hard writing their magical codes to bring the story and the wolf to life. It’s been a joy to see their imaginations in full flow.

We’ve also seen some wonderful progress in phonics. Well done, Badgers. A big thank you to all parents and carers for sending in their phonics and library books. It would also be useful if library books could be kept in their bags all week too. This is in case of any unscheduled changes to our weekly timetable, as I’m sure you can appreciate, it is quite common and often out of my control! Thank you for your understanding.

The children had such a great time at Forest School this week. They embraced the outdoor adventures with so much excitement. I’ve uploaded lots of photos from Forest School, along with many other lovely moments from the past few weeks, onto Tapestry. Please have a look when you can!

A special thank you to those who have already volunteered to help with reading sessions. We would still love a few more helpers, so if you have any spare time during the week, please do let us know!

Thank you also for sending in your child’s baby photo. The children absolutely loved looking at each other's pictures and talking about how much they have grown.

We are all really looking forward to the Harvest Festival on Wednesday!

A Few Notices

Forest School will now take place on Thursdays until half term.

The children will be having their ‘First Class’ photos taken on Monday. Please make sure they come to school looking smart and wearing their school jumper!

Thank you as always for your continued support. It’s been a brilliant start to the year in Badgers Class and we are excited for all that’s still to come. Have a lovely weekend!
