We have had a lovely week in Badgers Class! The children have settled back into school routines really well after the Christmas holidays.

In writing, we have been exploring the traditional tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children created story sequences to help them retell the story, thinking carefully about the beginning, middle, and end. Next week, the children will be making their own porridge, which we hope will be just right!

In maths, we have been learning to subitise by recognising the composition of numbers. The children have used a range of practical resources, including skittles, dice, multiblocks and tens frames, to support their learning.

In Drawing Club, we looked at The Three Little Pigs. The children really enjoyed drawing scenes and characters from the story and sharing their ideas.

The children have enjoyed playing in our new café role-play area, which is helping them prepare for an upcoming visit to the church where they will be hosting us for a café experience.

We ended the week with a lovely PE dance lesson and a Forest School session with Miss Welton, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

Notices

If you have borrowed any school spare clothes (such as pants, socks or tights), please could these be returned as soon as possible, as we have now run out of spares! These items are labelled BP.

Please ensure your child has spare clothes in their box, including trousers (not necessarily school uniform), tights, pants and socks.

Due to staffing changes, Forest School will now take place on Tuesdays from next week. Unfortunately, this change is out of my control and I apologise for the recent changes!
