We have had another busy and enjoyable week in Badgers Class!
In writing, the children have been reflecting on their porridge-making experience linked to Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They talked about what went well, what they noticed, and how they could describe their porridge using words. The children did a fantastic job sharing their ideas and experiences.
In maths, we have been focusing on the numbers 6, 7 and 8, exploring one more and one less. The children used a variety of practical resources to support their understanding, including cubes, counters and tens frames, helping them build confidence with number composition.
In Drawing Club, we explored the traditional tale The Billy Goats Gruff. The children loved drawing the characters and scenes, especially the troll under the bridge, and enjoyed talking about their drawings with their friends.
Unfortunately, we were unable to go on our planned church café visit this week due to flooding. This trip has now been rescheduled and will be taking place in February—more details will follow.
In PE, the children have been practising their dance in preparation for the upcoming Danceathon. They are working hard to remember their moves and are showing great enthusiasm.
The children also thoroughly enjoyed Forest School with Miss Welton, as always, and were very excited about the pantomime on Thursday, which was a huge hit!
Important Reminders

Spare clothes are essential. Please ensure your child has a full set of spare clothes in their box, including trousers (not necessarily school uniform), pants, socks and tights.

If your child has borrowed any school spare clothes, these must be returned as soon as possible. We have now completely run out of spares. All items are labelled BPS.
