The children have had another lovely and busy week in Badgers Class and have continued to work incredibly hard across all of our activities.
In Drawing Club this week, we explored the story Roadrunner, which the children really enjoyed. They had great fun discussing the characters and thinking about what might happen in the story. The children produced some fantastic drawings and used their imaginations to come up with their own creative ideas.
In maths, we have been learning all about numbers to 10. The children have been building and representing the numbers 9 and 10 in different ways and practising how to compare numbers up to 10. We have also been working on subitising to 10, helping the children to quickly recognise how many objects there are without needing to count each one. The children have shown great confidence and enthusiasm during these activities.
We were very lucky to enjoy another Forest School session with Miss Welton this week. The children loved being outside and exploring the environment while developing their teamwork and problem-solving skills.
In PE, we have continued to develop our ball skills. The children have been practising rolling, throwing and aiming, and are becoming more confident with their coordination and control.
The children have also been busy making special Mother’s Day cards this week, which they have brought home to share with you. They put lots of care and effort into creating them and were very excited to take them home.
We are hoping to begin some junk modelling activities. If you have any spare materials such as toilet roll tubes, egg boxes or small boxes at home, we would really appreciate any donations you could send in with your child.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and wish everyone a very happy Mother’s Day!
