The children have had another fantastic and busy week in Badgers Class and have continued to show great enthusiasm in all of their learning.

In Drawing Club this week, we explored the story Chicken Licken. The children thoroughly enjoyed retelling the story and discussing the different characters. They produced some wonderful drawings and wrote some wonderful sentences. 

In maths, we have continued to build on our understanding of numbers to 10. The children have been practising subitising to 10, as well as exploring one more and one less. We have also been learning about the composition of numbers to 10, using a range of practical resources such as multilink cubes, Numicon and tens frames to support our learning. The children have shown increasing confidence when explaining their thinking.

We have been very lucky with the glorious weather this week, and have made the most of it by spending lots of time learning outside in our provision. The children have really enjoyed being outdoors, and it has been lovely to see them so engaged and active in their play and learning.

In PE, we have continued to develop our ball skills. The children are becoming increasingly confident at controlling a ball, as well as practising their throwing and catching skills.

In writing, we have been focusing on Oi Frog! and exploring rhyming strings. The children have had lots of fun coming up with their own rhymes and playing with language.

It has been another wonderful week in Badgers Class, and we are very proud of all the children and their hard work. Have a great weekend!
