Reading at home
This week, the highlight was definitely the 'Sleeping Beauty Panto' at the Village Hall. Many children really enjoyed it, and we thank the PTA for organising this event.
Collins eBooks for Home Reading
Just a quick but important note, some children are not sure if they are reading their Collins book at home. Each week, the assigned book directly supports your child’s phonics learning and features engaging illustrations, making it a great resource.
Good evening, a fun, but busy week of learning in year 1. Here’s what we have been up to;
Good afternoon,
We've had a fantastic week in Year 1! Here's a snippet of what we have been up to!
Good evening, and wishing you all a very Happy New Year!
It has been a delight welcoming the children back and hearing all about their Christmas adventures. Here's a quick update on what we've been up to this week and what's ahead:
Good evening, welcome back and happy new year.
It was lovely to see all the children today. Just a little reminder...
Before Christmas, your child should have bought home a slip to explain if they are in group 1 or 2 for Forest school. If they are in Group 1 they will be partaking in Forest School sessions on a Thursday afternoon this half-term. If they are in Group 2 they will participate after the February half term also on a Thursday. If you are unsure, please ask.
Group 1's sessions will start this Thursday (9th January).
Good afternoon,
What an incredible Christmas term we’ve had! I’m so proud of all the Owls for embracing the joy and excitement of this festive season. The children have worked tremendously hard, learning new songs, expressing their creativity, and discovering the meaning behind the Christingle.
What a fantastic week it has been for Year 1! I couldn’t be prouder of how well the children performed alongside Year 2. From learning songs and lines to understanding when to go on and off stage, they really rose to the occasion. A huge well done to every single one of them!
Good afternoon,
The highlight of this week has been our wonderful dress rehearsal for the rest of the school at the church today. The children were full of enthusiasm, excitedly singing the songs and showcasing their acting skills. A huge thank you for providing super costumes. The children look great.
Great job, everyone! We can’t wait for you to see the performance next week.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Story Time yesterday! The children had a fantastic time performing The Three Little Pigs. This concludes our current English unit, and we’ll be starting a new text next week. Please remember to send in a photo of your child with their favourite toy by Monday, 2nd December to Miss Lever at:- e.townsend@brockenhurst-primary.hants.sch.uk
Please note we will be visiting the library next Thursday, not Friday.
Please bring library books in on Thursday 28th November 2024
