What a fantastic week it has been for Year 1! I couldn’t be prouder of how well the children performed alongside Year 2. From learning songs and lines to understanding when to go on and off stage, they really rose to the occasion. A huge well done to every single one of them!

The highlight of this week has been our wonderful dress rehearsal for the rest of the school at the church today. The children were full of enthusiasm, excitedly singing the songs and showcasing their acting skills. A huge thank you for providing super costumes. The children look great.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Story Time yesterday! The children had a fantastic time performing The Three Little Pigs. This concludes our current English unit, and we’ll be starting a new text next week. This week, the snow was a definite highlight! The children loved exploring how it felt and even how it tasted. Another exciting moment was our Interfaith morning, where the children participated in creative workshops about Sikhism alongside peers from across the school.
Thank you for joining us on a cold, snowy evening for our curriculum workshops. It was wonderful to see so many of you there! Working with parents is at the heart of what we do, and we truly appreciate your involvement.
What a fun-filled week we've had in Year 1! We’ve started practising for our nativity play, and your child will bring home a letter with their character and costume details. If you need any help with the costume, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

In English, we've begun our new text, “Jack and the Beanstalk.” The children have been bringing the story to life through actions and by creating their own story maps. We’re excited to share our version of the tale with Year 2 at the end of the term!
