Another super week in year 1. The children continue to amaze me, with how hard they are working and learning new routines. Well done Owls, keep it up!
I'm sure the children are wowing you with their singing at home ready for the harvest festival on Wednesday 30th September. We look forward to seeing you and thank you so much for all the donations for the food bank.
In English, we’ve been thinking about other woodland animals that Mother Owl might have seen on her journey.
In Maths, we’ve enjoyed many activities on a rotation, including using the crocodile symbols, learning how to add using the part/part/whole method and matching different representations to numbers.
In Geography, we’ve been learning about our local area. Thank you for helping your children find their addresses – they really enjoyed sharing them and talking about where they live. For your information, we're planning a local walk around Brockenhurst on Wednesday 7th October (9.30 and intend on being back for 10.30). We have enough helpers now.
