Year 2 have had a really positive start to the new half term. 

In English, we have started reading a new book 'Samsons Titanic Journey'. The children have really enjoyed listening to this story and their enthusiasm is really coming through in their work, which is lovely to see. 

In maths, we have been adding and subtracting across a 10. Year 2 have been working very hard and their confidence is growing more and more. 

We had a fantastic trip to the SeaCity museum yesterday. We spent the morning taking part in a workshop where the children took part in all sorts of exciting activities. We spent the afternoon looking around the museum and enjoyed the interactive activities and learning new facts. Mrs Kitcher and I both said what a pleasure it was to take them and how sensible they were on the train and walking through Southampton. Well done Year 2. 

Year 2 found out their parts for the Nativity today. This year our Nativity is called 'Angel Express'. I am sure they are all very excited to tell you all about it!
