We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year 2

Friday 12th December 2025

Wow, what a busy week!

We are incredibly proud of all the children for their outstanding performance in this year’s Nativity. Their hard work, enthusiasm, and confidence truly shone on stage, and it was wonderful to see them showing such joy and energy. They spoke clearly and sang beautifully. Their excitement during rehearsals and their determination to do their very best really paid off. Thank you for your support at home—helping them learn lines, sorting fantastic costumes and bringing them to the church.

Year 2 have really enjoyed their DT project this half term. They carefully took their time to plan and design their Nativity themed hand puppets, ready to perform a puppet show to Year R. This week, they have worked really hard to sew and decorate their hand puppets. They are all fantastic and best of all, unique.

In English, Year 2 have started to write their winter poems based on the book ‘Snow’ by Walter de la Mare. They have really enjoyed planning this and have been very excited to getting started! This will be a lovely thing to finish next week as we enjoy the lead up to Christmas.

Next week will be another busy one! We are looking forward to our Christingle on Tuesday afternoon at St Saviours. It starts at 2pm and we would love it if you could join us.

We also have Christmas jumper day, Christmas lunch and Christmas crafts to look forward to.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Prichard
