Well done to Year 2 on another great swimming session this afternoon. If your child has a swimming hat at home, it would be great if they can pack it in their bag for next week. Thank you.

In English, continuing with our text ‘Tidy’ and thinking about the importance of looking after our local area, the children have started writing letters to the forest animals to warn them and to apologise for humans dropping litter. We will continue writing these next week and I know they will be fantastic.

In maths, we have been learning how to compare and choose amounts of money. The children are really enjoying this and I know they would find it very helpful for this learning to be consolidated at home within a real-life context.

In Geography, we are answering the question ‘Where in the world are you?’. On Wednesday, Year 2 plotted their route from home to school on the map and used geographical language to describe their journey and the directions they follow.
