We’ve had a very busy week in Year 2 – I can’t believe we’ve reached the summer term already!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break – I thoroughly enjoyed looking through the children’s photos of them reading in amazing and unusual places. If you still have a photo to send in, please do this by next Friday 24^th April.

In English, we have started reading a new text ‘Pattan’s Pumpkin’. This is a beautiful story and the children have really enjoyed listening to it. They are excited to start retelling the story with their own ideas and have already come up with some great suggestions.

In maths, we have been focusing on fractions. We have been finding halves and quarters and next week we will be moving on to thirds.

Thank you for sending in Forest school clothes this week. The children will be split in half and will each have 3 sessions this half term.
