We have had a lovely, sunny week in Year 2. 

Sports day preparations are well underway in PE lessons. We have started to practise each event out on the field – it's been lovely doing this in the sunshine!

Year 2 started their Forest School sessions this week, which they all thoroughly enjoyed. They celebrated Earth Day and they each planted a pot of cress which I am sure they have been very excited to show you this evening. We also had a discussion in class about Earth Day and the children had some fantastic insights on the message 'Our power, our planet'. 

 We spent this afternoon out on the field where the children each planted a bulb. This links to our science topic of comparing bulbs and seeds and identifying their similarities and differences. The children have put their pots in the courtyard and will be able to observe how it changes over time.
