We have had a wonderful first week back in Year 2, ready for our final half term. 

In English, we have started reading our new text 'The Night Gardener'. The children have written some fantastic descriptions of the setting in the book, using excellent vocabulary, and they have been wonderful to read. 

In Maths, we have been learning about statistics. The children have been learning about different ways to record data. They have particularly enjoyed making their own tally charts.

In Geography, we have started our new topic 'Where does our food come from?'. This links to our upcoming trip to Longdown Dairy Farm. 

Miss Price from the University of Winchester has joined us in Year 2 this week. The children have welcomed her beautifully and she is already so impressed with them!

Please keep the afternoon of Thursday 2nd July free in your diaries, if you are able to. There will be more details to follow, but we would like to share the children's final DT project with you.
