In maths this week, we have been looking at pictograms and learning how pictures can represent an amount of 2, 5 or 10. The children have drawn their own pictograms and learnt how to interpret data using their knowledge of times tables.

In English, we have continued looking at ‘The Night Gardener’. The children have been practising how to use prepositions, adverbs and verbs and linking them to the story to create exciting sentences, read for their final write next week.

In RE, we have been discussing special foods. Yesterday, we explored special food for Christians. I have decided it would be nice for Year 2 to make bread on Thursday 25^th June. To ensure we have time to bake it, instead of taking it home, the children will eat it when they arrive at school on Friday 26^th June. I told them they could eat their bread instead of a morning job, which caused much excitement! Please let me know if you have any questions about this.
