Year 2 have worked extremely hard this week; I am very proud of them.

In English, the children have finished writing their postcards, based on the book ‘The Night Gardener’. I have been so impressed with all of them, they have been so enjoyable to read.

Dates and key messages for next week:

On Wednesday, we have our school trip to Longdown Dairy Farm. It is forecasted to be a very hot day so please ensure your child is wearing sun cream, a hat and cool clothing. Please also ensure they have plenty of water with them. We will also be able to refill water there.

As it is going to be a hot day, I am sure the children would appreciate an ice cream. If you would like your child to have one, please send them with £3 only. Thank you.

On Thursday, we will be making bread. The children will eat their bread when they arrive at school on Friday morning.

I also mentioned on a blog a couple of weeks ago about Thursday 2^nd July. The children will have made their salads in DT and we would love to invite you in to share these. We may also have a few songs prepared! Please arrive promptly to the school office at 2:30pm if you are able to make it. Thank you.
