It has been a very busy and hot week!

Year 2 have started a new book in English ‘Can I build another me?’. The children have started to explore what makes them unique, ready to write a fact file about themselves.

On Wednesday, we enjoyed our trip to Longdown Dairy Farm. Year 2 had the opportunity to collect eggs, feed goats and calves and hold chicks.  It was very hot but the children were so resilient and had a go at every activity. I think the highlights were the ice-cream and the breezy tractor ride!

We have had to postpone bread making, due to the hot weather. We will try our best to fit it in between now and the last day of term.

On Monday, Year 2 will be tasting foods in preparation to make their salad later in the week. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday. 

We have said good bye to Miss Price who has finished her university placement with us. We have thanked her for all of her hard work and I know the children will miss her.
