We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year 3

Friday Blog - Friday 16th May

Good afternoon everyone,

We have had our first geranium flowers. The children arrived on Monday to find one of our plants in the classroom in bloom. Then I received the above picture from Alice, whose flower has also bloomed. well done Alice. Please send me photos when your geranium flowers.

In science, we carried out another fascinating bone investigation, looking at how some bones protect our organs. The children had to imagine a chocolate teacake was a brain and the create a structure to protect it from cracking when dropped from a height. There were great designs, great team work and some amazing results.

Just a couple of reminders:

The children should have their PE kits in school every day. Our usual sessions are Monday and Wednesday, but we do need them at other times.

Also, I do set homework most weeks on Edshed. This gives the children to consolidate some of their learning from the previous week in school.

Information about Sports day has come out today on the newsletter. We look forward to seeing you next Thursday.

Have a lovely weekend,

Clare
