We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year 3

Friday Blog - Friday 6th June

Good afternoon everyone,

Obviously, the highlight of our week has been our trip to the Beaulieu Motor Museum.  We had such a fantastic day and even the weather was kind to us. The children discovered lots about the first cars from the Victorian Age, had great fun hooting a horn very LOUDLY in the museum and had a ride in a not quite Victorian car called Gumdrop. In the Palace, we learnt all about the life of a parlour maid and a footman.  We learnt that children were seen and not heard and that ladies should nearly always go first. We finished our day with an exciting ride on the monorail.

The children were beautifully behaved throughout the visit. The staff were impressed by how well they listened, their enthusiasm to join in and their thoughtful questions. Well done to all the children, I was very proud of them all.

In Science we have started a new topic about rocks and soils. If the children have any rocks at home they would like to share, please bring it to school on Tuesday. Please don't let them bring anything too precious!

Have a lovely weekend,

Clare
