Year 3

Friday Blog - Friday 19th September
Good afternoon everyone,
Another busy week in Year 3, but lovely to finish the week in sunshine! We’ve been looking more closely at our book, Interview with a Tiger, and have been practising writing questions and answers in readiness for writing our own interviews next week.
In Maths, our place value work has moved into 3 digit numbers, all the way up to 1000! The children were also excited to do our second times tables challenge this morning. I forgot to mention that all the children had the opportunity to log onto TT Rockstars at school. It’s a great programme that really supports them to learn their times tables. Their log in details are in the front of the reading diaries so they can log on at home to play and learn more!
We started a new science topic, looking at skeletons. The children started by having a go at drawing their own skeleton before we found out what some of the main bones are called.
Thank you to everyone who is reading at home with their child and making sure books are in school every day. Just a reminder that book change is usually on Thursday.
Have a lovely weekend,
Clare
