Year 3

Friday Blog - Friday 10th October
Good afternoon everyone,
The highlight of our week has definitely been our Harvest Festival at the church on Wednesday. If you were lucky enough to join us there, I hope you agree it was a super service. Can I say a big thank you to all who brought in donations for the Lymington Basics Bank. We were all proud of how much we had managed to collect.
Another highlight was our science investigation this week. We imagined that a chocolate tea cake was a brain and we had to make a skull for it, to protect it when it was dropped from a height. The children came up with some ingenious ideas, some more successful than others. Some chocolate teacakes survived, some were squished once dropped. The children were delighted that there were a few left over so we managed to finish them off during Golden Time today!
The children brought home a letter about our planned visit to Southampton Art Gallery. I’ve taken classes there before and we’ve always had a great day out. Many thanks to all of you who have already returned your permission form.
Just a reminder that homework is set on Edshed each week. Your child’s login details are in the front of their reading record.
Have a great weekend – I know some of the children are looking forward to their first cub camp!
