Good afternoon everyone,

Another busy week for Year 3 – I don’t know how we squeeze so much in!

We are becoming resilient learners in Maths. Lots of us have found some of the new concepts tricky this week, but we haven’t given up. With time and lots of repeated practise, the children are gaining new understanding. Please remember that the homework set for the children consolidates what we have been doing in class this week. Our times tables challenge each week also needs resilience, but the children are starting to see how they improve each week and soon move on to the next times table. Thank you for your support at home practising with your child.

In English we wrote some fantastic newspaper reports about the escape of the failed pets from our current book – The Barnabus Project. We published our writing today and took time during Art to make sure the illustration looked amazing too. Well done Year 3.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all next week at parents’ evening. It will give us an opportunity to discuss how your child has settled into a new year group.
