Good afternoon everyone,
I can’t believe it’s December – where has this term gone? We’ve had another busy week. Let me share some of the highlights with you!
In RE this week, we made and played Dreidel. This is a game played by Jewish people during the festival of Hannukah, which we have been learning about. The children absolutely loved it and are very keen to teach you at home how to play. They should have brought home the wooden dreidel that they made and I have attached the instructions below so you can have a game at home.
We all went to the church to watch the KS! Nativity this morning. It was such a treat. You are in for a fab performance if you are going next week.
We have started our D&T project this week, which is to make a pop-up Christmas card. We evaluated some purchased cards to see their designs and how they popped up. This afternoon we have made mini prototype cards using 2 different pop-up mechanisms. Designing will be next …
Whatever you’re doing, have a lovely weekend,
Clare
