Good afternoon everyone,

We were very lucky this afternoon that the sun came out for a little bit so that the children could enjoy their second tennis coaching session. The children really enjoyed this opportunity to improve their skills – I look forward to them playing at Wimbledon in the future.

In English, we have continued looking at the book Coming Home by Michael Morpurgo – it is my favourite book that I do with the children, such an emotional story that makes us all cry. Don’t worry – it does have a happy ending. We have considered the careful vocabulary choices that Michael Morpurgo makes when he writes and are going to try to write in his style next week.

Next week we are also looking forward to completing our D&T project. We have designed our pop-up cards and we just need to make them now. There has also been lots of carolling as we get ready for the church next week. I hope you’re looking forward to it, if you’re able to join us on Thursday afternoon.
