Year 3

Friday Blog - Friday 6th February
Good afternoon everyone,
We have been reading a poem in Guided Reading this week that the children have all really enjoyed. It’s called Last Night I Saw the City Breathing by Andrew Fusek-Peters. The poem is full of humour and has made us all giggle this week. Today, we have used our visualisation skills to draw the pictures we see in our heads when we hear the funny lines.
Sadly, Group A did not make it out to Forest School this week. We will try and make up their session at a later date, but continue with our plan that next week (Thursday 12th February) both Groups A & B will be outside.
We are looking forward to The Brock Dance Off next week, although I’m aware there are a few nerves as well! The children have been practising their Line Dances in their House Teams for a few weeks now and I am sure they will all put on a fantastic performance next week.
Hopefully the children all came home with a fundraising form from the PTA. Their aim is for everyone to raise £20.26, which would go towards the furniture required for our outdoor learning are. I’m sure the children will have some imaginative ideas about how they can raise some money!
Have a lovely weekend,
Clare
