Good afternoon everyone,

We have welcomed a new addition to our class this week. Miss Johnstone is a PGCE student from Winchester University and will be with us for the duration of her final teaching practice. The children have enjoyed getting to know her this week.

We have completed our Design & Technology project for this term, having our making day on Thursday. I’m afraid the product is a bit hush hush, but hopefully all will be revealed on Sunday!

In English, we have started writing stories based on The Green Ship. The children have loved the book and it has certainly inspired some fantastic ideas so far. I am looking forward to reading the children’s finished stories.

In maths, we have been working on fractions. This can be quite a tricky topic for some of the children to grasp. Perhaps some practise over the weekend, sharing pizza or cake, would help!
