Friday Blog - Friday 20th March
Good afternoon everyone,
WOW – I am amazed at all the fantastically funny hairstyles the children have had today. They all looked amazing! Many thanks for all your donations for Comic Relief.
The highlight of our week has definitely been our mini-trip to the church yesterday. We all had a fantastic time, particularly with the weather being so beautiful. Mel and Simon were there to greet us and told us the story of Easter in a fun and engaging way. Simon was excellent at answering the children’s questions about what can be a difficult topic for them to fully understand. We were able to picnic outside for lunch in the glorious spring sunshine and then the children played outside. Back in church, we had hot cross buns and played Easter Bingo, which had them all engrossed, hoping to get a full house! My thanks to Mel and Simon for giving us such an exciting experience.
Back in school, we have been writing our own versions of The Green Ship. The children have been publishing their writing today. They have all worked so hard and are very proud of their finished stories.
In Guided Reading we have been learning Easter Poems, ready for the Easter Service on Wednesday morning. I hope you will be able to join us there and hear us perform.
Let’s hope this wonderful weather continues – have a lovely weekend,
Clare
