Year 3

Friday Blog - Saturday 6th June (oops)
Good morning everyone,
Thank goodness the weather wasn't like this on Tuesday when we made our way to Beaulieu. We had such a lovely time there. We spent half our time in the motor museum where we looked at cars through the ages and had a ride in 'Gumdrop', a car that is nearly 100 years old, which was a real treat. The rest of our day was in the Palace House, where we were looked after by Miss Clarke, the governess, and Patterson, the housemaid. We found out what it would have been like to be a servant in the big house during Victorian times. The children were beautifully behaved throughout the day, I was very proud of them all.
Back in school we have started to learn the songs for the KS2 production, starting with the song that we will perform to. The children are very excited and rightly so, this being their first time to be part of the performance.
A date for your diary: Tuesday 23rd June. In the afternoon we would like to invite you into school for a Savoury Afternoon Tea and to view the children's slideshows about the Victorians. The children don't know about this yet, I will talk to them on Monday, but I just wanted you to have the date in advance. More details to follow.
Let's hope the rain stops so we can make the most of the weekend!
Clare
