Year 3

Friday Blog - Friday 9th October
Good afternoon everyone,
Another busy week for Year 3 – I don’t know how we squeeze so much in!
We are becoming resilient learners in Maths. Lots of us have found some of the new concepts tricky this week, but we haven’t given up. With time and lots of repeated practise, the children are gaining new understanding. Please remember that the homework set for the children consolidates what we have been doing in class this week. Our times tables challenge, or bomb challenge as the children call it, also needs resilience, but the children are starting to see how they improve each week and soon move on to the next times table. Thank you for your support at home practising with your child.
Christmas came early this week as we created our Christmas card designs for the Art Projects for Schools. Your child should have brought home their completed artwork with a leaflet that gives you all the instructions needed to order some cards.
Also, you should have received an email about our upcoming visit to The Mayflower to watch a special performance for schools by the Welsh National Opera. I have been before and it is such a fun and awe-inspiring event. Please note that you need to give permission on line via scopay.
Have a great weekend
Clare
