We Enjoy and Excel in the Presence of God

Year 4

Year 4 - 28.03.2025

We have reached the end of another week – where is the time going?! This week in D&T, the class were asked to bring lots of resilience as we had our first go at sewing. The class were threading their own needles and having a go at joining two pieces of material using different stitches. I was so impressed with how they persevered, showed great resilience and how they supported one another throughout the lesson. Well done Year 4 – you are ready for next week’s making lesson!

In maths, we have been dividing a three digit number by a one digit number. The class have continued to apply their knowledge of times tables and used a formal method where needed. They have grown in confidence, which has been wonderful to see.

In English, we have been recapping expanded noun phrases and apostrophes. The class have identified these within text and revisited how and why they are used. Today, we have responded to a page from the book which shows Arthur’s journey. The class had the task of writing the words to match the picture and had to include some apostrophes and expanded noun phrases. They did an excellent job and produced some very descriptive writing.

We hope you have a lovely weekend – it looks like the sun is going to shine!
