We have reached the end of a very hot week! Year 4 have done very well to continue to work hard and try their best in all that they do. On Thursday, they had a lovely tennis session on the field where they supported some Year 1 children learning some new tennis skills. Forest School for Group 2 will resume as normal next Thursday.

In English this week, the children have planned and written letters from Matthew to his sister Eliza. Matthew had not seen Eliza in over the years and we know how loved she is by him. In their letters, the class worked hard to convey the love and emotion that would have gone into a letter from Matthew. They also recounted the events from Matthew’s life since he left home and the highs and lows that he had faced. I was really impressed with the language choices and sentence structure which made their letters heartfelt and quite emotional to read!

In maths we have been focusing on money, whilst also completing some end of year assessments. The class have worked very hard showing all that they know. Our money unit will continue next week.
