Hi all,

We've had another lovely week in Year 4. The children have been working really hard, and it has been great to see them settling into the routines more and beginning to feel more confident. 

In maths, we've continued to do lots of work on place value, exploring numbers up to 10,000 and partitioning these. This topic will continue next week. In English, we have been studying a book called 'Leon and the Place Between', which is all about a boy and his siblings going to a magic show. The children have been really engaged with this book and have written some brilliant adverts today, persuading others to come to the show. 

We have started new topics in Science, Geography, RE and PSHE. The children particularly enjoyed our Geography lesson where we were looking at The Magic Kingdom. 

It has been a pleasure working with your children over the last couple of weeks, and I know they are really looking forward to Miss Bates starting with them on Monday.
