Hi all,

Year 4 have had a great week this week and I have enjoyed getting to know the children!

In Maths, we have been continuing our work on place value with numbers to 10, 000. We have learnt how to find 1, 10, 100 ore 1000 more or less, comparing numbers and finding numbers on a number line.

Our English lessons this week have continued to be based around the book ‘Leon and the Place Between’. We have been learning how to punctuate speech correctly and identifying the language features used within the text.

We have continued our science learning on invertebrates and vertebrates. In RE we started thinking about the story of Noah’s Ark and how Noah would have felt, as well as what makes the word a more or less positive place.

A quick reminder, that Thursday is book change day. Please ensure your child’s book and reading record are in school every day. Homework is set every Monday on EdShed. These tasks are based on what we have been learning in class that week and should be completed by the following Monday.
