Hi all,

It has been another good week in Year 4. A highlight has got to be our art lesson, where we collected natural objects from out on the playground to sketch. I was impressed with the incredible drawing skills that the class showed.

In Maths, we are coming to the end of our place value unit and have been learning to round numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 as well as learning how to read Roman Numerals.

In English, we have written the next part of ‘Leon and the Place Between’, changing where Leon goes in the box. It was great to hear the children’s various ideas! They have applied their learning from the last few weeks to their writing and everyone took great pride in publishing their stories using their neatest handwriting.

In Science, we have been learning about using classification keys to group animals and in Geography everyone is enjoying learning about The Magic Kingdom and where it is in the world.

This afternoon, Group A had their final Forest School session for this half-term. Those in Group B will have their first session next Friday afternoon (3^rd October). They will be bringing home slips with their dates on next week.
