Hi all,

Welcome back to the second half of the autumn term! I hope you all had a lovely half term.

In Maths, we have started our next unit – multiplication and division. We have started off the unit this week, with a focus on the 6 times table.

In English, we have continued our poetry work on the four seasons and today the children have written their own version of the poem ‘Dear March’. All the children enjoyed being poets and they produced some excellent poems. We will be writing them up in neat to go on our Year 4 display.

Year 4 were very excited this week to begin their History learning about the Romans. We learnt how the Roman Empire was formed. This afternoon, we have been finding out about the artist JMW Turner and creating a fact file page about him.

Don’t forget that the deadline for Hooke Court reply slips is on Monday. Thank you to all those who have returned them already. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the trip please do get in touch. 

One final reminder, for those of you wishing to order your child’s Christmas card artwork the deadline for ordering is next Thursday.
